We made it to the middle of the week. It’s Wednesday and that means that I’m back with another Design Residency option for you! Even though I’m craving some color I still am drawn to black, white, and gray. Maybe it’s the wannabe minimalist in me…who knows.

The inspiration: Abstraction Process by Three Lives Left. I love the overlapping geometric shapes. This is right up my alley!

Abstraction Process by Three Lives Left

The translation: Scandinavian chic. How do we obtain this? Well, we go to a few of my all time faves: Ikea, CB2, Crate & Barrel, and Urban Outfitters. Selecting items that are sleek, minimal, and within the black, gray, and white palette keep everything balanced. Yeah…I’m drooling over that modern credenza.

  1. Love the credenza! I have been looking for one but is torn between a mid century and modern contemporary style, with lots of storage option. It’s going to be a hunt.

    • Fauzi – I too am searching for the right credenza. I’d love a mid-cent-mod one and I’ve been watching craigslist like a hawk for one..but no one responds..lame. Keep me posted on your hunt!

  2. You know I’d take that chair and then paint the legs a bright color… I’m obviously still having trouble with the cold and snow here, I need color!
