Happy Tuesday! Sorry for the delay friends, I was in transit back to Syracuse! I’m back now and ready to get into my blogging schedule. Did you check out Sandra‘s amazing photo for this week? She has mad photo skills.

The 411 on #foliophoto:
Sandra & I will pick a prompt each week to interpret through photos [we are trying to build up our skills, portfolios, and original content that we create for our blogs] and you will be able to participate if you would like! We’ve started a flickr group called Foliophoto (public/invite only for now – email me for access or mention it in the comments) and instagram hashtag #foliophoto.

I started this week with a concept of how I wanted to convey “family” and I was set out to make it happen. As I thought about the way to construct the photo to encapsulate “family” I realized I wanted to use hands – hands = bond, and let’s face it family is a unit bonded together. On vacation I looked for the opportunity to capture this in my hometown with my extended family.

As of last night I still couldn’t quite make this happen. I sat on the couch late at night with my husband by my side. Everyone was asleep and the lights were all turned off. Ian held my hand and I realized he is my family, and I am his.
