IN LOVE: Artists in Syracuse
Syracuse is filled with some of the most talented and amazing people I’ve ever known [and I'm sure have yet to meet]. The culture is keen on handmade, original, and artisan crafts. Over the next few months I’m hoping to feature more and more local artists. Since Valentine’s Day is this week I thought I would share my #1 jewelry brand – plus they just happen to be LOCAL. Guys listen up and buy local for your ladies, and ladies – you’ll love these intricate and locally made lovelies.
Variya focuses on handmade artisan jewelry with a hip edge. From necklaces to earrings these designs are also great for people with metal allergies [like me!].
one: I love that this necklace has that one odd crystal offsetting the whole necklace and making it unique.
two: The perfect earrings for a minimalist. They also come in titanium.
three: I fell in love with this necklace. Yes – it’s on my wishlist, done and done!
four: I’m not a dangly earring kinda gal but these lovely drops are making me rethink that.
five: By far my favorite earrings – I have them but in this version.
six: Chunky pearls. Oh the best part – they are custom made for us ladies who used to have gauged ears.
seven: Look at that raw pyrite stone?
Variya also has a sweet blog that you can read more about the stories behind each piece. Are you a local [Central NY artist]? If you are interested in being featured on bedsidesign + my EXplore guide for NOexcuses please contact me!

These are gorgeous! I especially love the first necklace.
Right?! She made my custom wedding jewelry and my husband always treats me with bling from her! Amazing stuff!
I couldn’t resist! I just bought it for myself for Valentine’s Day. So lovely! Thank you for sharing her work. :)
