HAPPY NEW YEAR bedsidesigners! 2013 is here and I’m pretty excited for it. There’s a buzz going around in the blogosphere that 2013 is going to rock, kick ass, be great, ____ you fill in the blank. My word for 2013 is OWN. 2013 is going to OWN. I’m planning on bringing my A-game and owning this year. What word are you using to describe this new year?

Last night we celebrated with some of our friends in a Mad Men themed party. I was so pumped after my IN LOVE Halloween post on artsocial that I knew we had to make this Mad Men party a reality. Everyone dressed up [even with there being over a foot of snow on the ground!] including heels, pearls, big hair and lots of red lipstick.

I also celebrated bedsidesign turning 1 yesterday! It blows my mind that I’ve been blogging for a year. I remember launching last year, butterflies in my stomach and not a clue what to do. I’m so thankful for Ian encouraging me to move forward & for his help behind the scenes. You all bring me so much joy that I can’t even thank you enough.

Here’s to a great year filled with endless possibilities. Let’s OWN it!

For those of you who want to see more pictures from the party.

Loved your pics on IG last night. Looks like the party was a blast. Someday I am going to steal this idea from you and throw a Mad Men party.

Help me think of a word, I’m at a loss. I have resolutions but I’m not sure how to summarize them into one word.

    Happy New Year!

    • I’m so glad you like the pics from last night. I tried to balance partying and instagramming haha. You can TOTALLY steal the idea – the party was a blast.
Okay what about: goals | declarations | aims – any of these words work? HAPPY NEW YEAR!
