Bedsidesigners, is it starting to become super obvious that I’m a pretty big fan of design + stationery? From my new guest series about stationery, to the fact that I see it on a daily basis at my day-job – letterpress holds a very dear space in my design-craved heart. That’s why I am so excited to announce a new series, Type Takeover, with Ilana from Sugar & Type!
Since we are going to be working together we thought it would be fun to get to know each other just a little bit more. Seriously, this girl is an achiever!
What’s your favorite thing to do in your city?
In Rochester: Nothing beats taking our dog, Dizzy, to all the wonderful local parks, we’ve got every season here, and the scenery is gorgeous!
Why do you blog?
I started blogging because it was a way for me to express and share my thoughts on Design, but it’s turned into so much more. I think having a place for me to connect to readers and customers helps my company be personable, and lets people get to know me!
Can you share a recent favorite read or find?
My favorite music of the moment – the ambassadors
Books of the moment – I recently finished “Racing in the Rain” and “The Puppy Diaries” and they are so great for puppy lovers! Right now, I’m reading Blog Inc. and I’m super excited about it!

What is an interest, or something you’re passionate about?
If you haven’t explored Letterpress – PLEASE talk to me! In 2012 I bought my very own letterpress, and it’s been so fun to explore. As a designer, the idea of tangible type was so incredible, especially as we live in a virtual world. I’m so excited to share my passion for design and letterpress with all my readers and fans – so stay tuned!
What is on your bedside table?
I love Design books, So I keep a couple new ones on my bedside table for inspiration. I keep my ipad there too (hello pinterest!).
What are the top things you couldn’t live without?
1. My family & Friends
2. DOGS! especially Dizzy
3. Outdoors (we love to hike, ski, bike etc)
4. A Creative Outlet (letterpress, blog, books etc)
